When contacting an artist please include : a description of what you would like tattooed and where you would like it placed, the approximate size and any reference photos you may have.
DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT FOR TATTOOS?
Yes, in order to schedule an appointment we require all clients to leave anywhere from $50.00-250.00 deposit to secure their appointment time and/or to have custom art drawn up.
This deposit will be deducted from the final cost of your tattoo or comission. If your tattoo require multiple sessions, the deposit will be deducted at the last session. If you decide the design is not for you after your consultation or you decide you no longer want the tattoo, the deposit will be considered a drawing fee, and will cover the artist’s time for drawing your design.
If the appointment needs to be rescheduled, 48 hours notice must be given or the deposit will be forfeited.
All deposits are non-refundable, but we can move them over as long as you give us enough notice.
WHEN DO I GET TO SEE THE DESIGN FOR MY TATTOO?
You will see the design for your tattoo the day of your appointment. If there are any minor changes that need to be made to your design, they will be made that day. If you would like to see your design sooner than that, please communicate this to your artist, although we can only guarantee that you will see your drawing the day of.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY TATTOO?
Make sure you’ve had a good meal within 4 hours of being tattooed.
Wear comfortable clothing
Get plenty of rest and make sure you are well hydrated.
Don't be hungover or under the influence of alcohol or drugs
TATTOO AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS:
Please follow the instructions below unless given specific instructions by your artist
Remove the bandaging after 24 hours. It is normal to see ink, blood and/or fluid pool beneath the bandage. You can take showers with the bandage on
Remove the bandage prior to 24 hours if:
- the bandage is peeling back AND no longer covering the tattoo
- the skin surrounding the tattoo under the bandage is red or swollen
AFTER 24 HOURS : Remove the bandage. Doing so in the shower is the easiest way to peel it off.
Gently wash immediately after un-bandaging with warm water using clean finger tips and a mild unscented soap.
Either let the tattoo air dry or gently pat dry with clean paper towel. Add no more than a dime sized amount of non scented lotion or cream to the tattoo.
48 HRS TO 2 WEEKS : Your tattoo will scab, peel and flake for the next 2 weeks.
Gently wash the tattoo twice a day (morning and night).
After washing, keep the tattoo as dry as possible.
Only add a minimal amount of lotion if the tattoo is very dry and uncomfortable.
Do not swim, workout or submerge your tattoo under water during this time.
WEEKS 3-6 : (until tattoo stops peeling) gently wash the tattoo twice a day (morning and night).
Additionally, you should also wash your tattoo after
swimming
working out
excessive sweating
tattoo comes into contact with pets or children
DO NOT:
over moisturize your tattoo. You should not apply lotion more than twice a day with more than dime sized amount of lotion
moisturize tattoo with Vaseline or petroleum jelly
scrub tattoo with washcloth or loofah
pick or scratch scabs (this will cause scarring)
sun bathe or tan for the first 2 to 3 weeks
swim, get in hot tub or submerge your tattoo under water for the first 2 to 3 weeks
workout or go to the gym for at least 1 week, ideally 2 weeks.
After your tattoo is healed always use a good sunscreen (SPF 60) or keep your tattoo covered from excessive sun exposure
